The Ultimate Guide to Henry Hoover Attachment Kits

Want to upgrade your Henry without getting a new model?

You’ve got your Henry hoover, you’ve been using it for years and you love it. Although the standard Henry kit is great for all round cleaning , maybe now you want to up your cleaning game and to maximise the level of cleaning that you can achieve with Henry.

That’s the beauty of Henry Hoover – there are so many accessories and attachments available which can completely convert and improve the functionality of your model.

Got a new dog? – Get a PetKit.

Toddlers messing up your car seats? – Get a Car and Stair Kit.

Moved into a two-storied house? – Get a ReachKit.

Lost one of your accessories? – Get a HandyKit

Adding an additional Henry accessories kit can extend the professional level of cleaning and enhance its functionality, without needing to outlay out for a new vacuum cleaner.

ProKit

Who Should Buy a ProKit: You should buy a pro kit if you want to elevate your hard floor and carpet cleaning level. This is a specialised accessories kit consisting of floor heads only.

The Prokit consists of
– Airobrush
– AiroBrush 140
– Specialist Hard Floor Tool

Henry Hoover Attachment Kit - ProKit; AiroBrush, AiroBrush 140, and hard floor tool

Lets face it, 90 % of vacuuming is spent vacuuming carpets and hard floors – not upholstery and not shelves.  Which is why if you were to buy one extra bit of kit, the Pro Kit will give you the most value.

These three tools lift your carpet and hard floor cleaning to the next level

The Airobrush and Airobrush140 are carpet attachments that come standard with Henry Pet. These brushes have a turbo-powered rotating brush on the floor-head which accordingly makes it specialised for collecting pet hair from carpet and rugs.

The larger Airobrush carpet attachment is great for doing large vacuuming runs over the carpet, whereas the smaller Airobrush140 is perfect for smaller areas including stairs, furniture, and car interiors

The hard floor tool is such a useful tool it comes standard with many Henry models, including Henry Home. This hard floor accessory improves performance on hard floors including laminates, tiles and wood.

It has fine bristles on the front of the floor head with even open spaces to let dirt enter. Fine brushes on the rear of the floor head prevent debris from escaping, thereby enabling the powerful suction to deal with any trapped dirt.

Compared to the Henry combi floor head which comes as standard, the fine brushes on the hard floor tool are a lot more effective at trapping dirt, and the smaller floor head creates a stronger suction effect.

The hard floor tool is particularly lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and for this reason it’s the perfect accessory to use if your house has a large area of hard flooring.

It’s not just dirt, debris and spills that the hard floor tool works on, but it can be particularly effective for pet hair on these surfaces as well. Notably I have used it to great effect to clean out my dog’s kennel. Then again, fur does get trapped in the brushes and needs regular maintenance, but it’s a lot easier to remove the fur from these bristles compared to the rotating brushes on the Airobrush.

Car and Stair Kit

Who should buy a Car and Stair Accessories Kit? Parents with toddlers and car seats, pet owners, if you have homes with stairs, and anyone else who treats their car like a spare room and tends to accumulate junk and debris. Or on the flip side, car enthusiasts who treat their car as their pride and joy and want to keep it pristine

If your car’s always collecting crumbs, mud, and random bits of nature, you’ll love the Henry Car and stair kit. It’s got everything you need to get into all those annoying little spots and make your car feel fresh again.

The car and Stair kit consists of:
– AiroBrush 140
– Flexi Crevice tool
– 1.5m extension hose.

Henry Hoover Attachment Kit - Car and Stair Kit

The Airobrush 140 is the smaller of the two floor heads which are turbo charged with rotating brushes. The narrow size and strong suction make it perfect for getting into the smaller areas of the car like the seat wells, seats and the boot.

The rotating brushes make it so much more effective at collecting fur and old crumbs and dirt that tend to be well compressed into the very fabric of car seats, not to mention the annoyingly clingy fabric in the car boot.

One of the more frustrating things about cleaning cars is having to move the vacuum from one side to the other, without getting the cords trapped under the tyres.

Henry Hoover’s new hose extension is perfect for cleaning cars, as you can park Henry in one spot and he doesn’t have to move.

Henry Hoover Attachment Kit - Hose extension

With the 1.5m hose extension, you can clean the entire interior of the car without having to move Henry from one side to the other. My first concern with the hose kit was that the extra connection and longer hose would somehow reduce the suction, but it doesn’t appear so – the suction still being more than enough to get the job done.

The same combination of airobrush140 and hose extension is also ideal for cleaning stairs. The extended reach means I can vacuum the stairs without having to carry Henry, or precariously have him balanced on a stair or at the top of the stairwell where he could come crashing down to take my legs out.

The Flexi crevice tool is ideal for those narrow areas which are impossible to get to even by taking the floor head off. The flexibility adds another dimension and can access locations between seats and under seats that are impossible to get to otherwise. Perfect for car cleaning.

PetKit

Who should get a PetKit? To state the obvious, this accessories kit is perfect for pet owners. The 2 turbo-powered rotating brushs are ideal for collecting pet hair, and the filter is charcoal impregnated, which helps to reduce odours

The PetKit consists of:

  • AiroBrush
  • AiroBrush 140
  • Odour-controlled Microfresh filter
Henry Hoover Attachment Kit - PetKit

In some ways this kit will turn your ordinary Henry into an even more advanced version of Henry Pet. For instance, Henry Pet only has a single turbo powered rotating brush head, whereas this kit contains two different sized, high-performing turbo-powered brush heads.

I like to use the larger Airobrush for going over large areas of the house, as using the smaller head can be hard work and takes more time. The small head is perfect if I am only doing a small, concentrated area such as on pet beds, furniture that the dogs sneak up on, as well as the interior of the car.

Although not necessarily specific for pets, the smaller AiroBrush 140 is the perfect size for vacuuming both edges of the stairs as well.

The filter in the PetKit is standard with Henry Pet and contains a layer of activated charcoal. For this reason, any odour-producing molecules are trapped, leaving the room and vacuum cleaner smelling fresher, with no lingering bad smells

Layers of a microfresh filter

If you have a new pet, or your existing pet hair is starting to accumulate and get a bit ‘pongy’, the PetKit’s worth the upgrade. The replacement floor tools will turn your regular Henry into a pet-cleaning pro and take the hassle out of cleaning up after pets.

ReachKit

Who Should Get a ReachKit? This accessories kit is useful if you have stairs, or if you have a lot of horizontal surfaces collecting dust – such as shelves, wardrobes, and bookcases.

The ReachKit consists of:

  • A 1.5m hose extension
  • Multi angle tool
  • An adjustable metal telescopic tube

The extension hose comes with an adaptor which enables it to become an extension of the original hose, giving you an extra 1.5m length. This length of hose is unnecessary and cumbersome when cleaning the floors, but comes into its own when it comes to vacuuming the stairs.

By extending the reach, all of the stairs, bottom to top, can be vacuumed without moving Henry – he can stay safely at the bottom, which is also perfect if you have mobility or strength constraints.

To extend the reach even further, the telescopic tube can be added, and can be extended or collapsed as needed to further increase the reach.

All things considered, whether you’ve a multi-level home or shelves that are just out of reach, this kit makes cleaning easier, safer and a whole lot more convenient.

HandyKit

Who should get a HandyKit? As all these tools come as standard in all Henry models, the only reason you will need this accessories kit is if you have lost or damaged one of Henry’s accessories and need some replacement parts

The HandyKit consists of

  • Dusting Brush
  • Mattress and Upholstery tool
  • Crevice tool
Henry hoover accessories kit - HandyKit

The dusting brush has soft bristles and is perfect for use on delicate surfaces, picture frames, ornaments – in fact anywhere you would consider using a dusting brush.

This mattress and upholstery tool is great for giving your sheets, mattresses, and couches a deep clean. It’s gentle on delicate fabrics, so you can freshen up your furniture without any damage. The specially designed mattress attachment from Henry pulls out dust and allergens, helping you keep your home cleaner and more hygienic.

Henry’s crevice nozzle is your go-to for tackling those hard-to-reach spots. Whether you’re deep in a DIY job, sprucing up the car, or dealing with pet mess, this clever little attachment makes it super easy. From tight corners to narrow gaps, it helps you clean every last nook and cranny. My favourite use for this is under the dishwasher, along the skirting boards, and getting between the cracks between cushions on the sofa.

I lost  my dusting brush attachment during a house move years ago and this is the kit I brought to replace it. Although it’s a shame you can’t buy individual accessories if you lose or damage them, this kit’s got you covered if you need a replacement. It’s a convenient way to replace the most-used tools and keep your Henry working at its best, and it can never hurt to have a couple spares as well.
